SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to counteract technical facilities that secretly intercept audio information for searching, detection and localisation of concealed acoustic-electric converters (AEP). Area of possible AEP location is radiated with probing signal (ZR), radio signal reradiated by AEP is received, received signal is detected, transformed into acoustic oscillations, received acoustic oscillations are radiated in direction of area radiated with ZR, radio signal modulated by AEP according to radiated acoustic oscillation and reradiated by AEP is received, received signal is detected, transformed into acoustic oscillations, and decision is taken on availability of AEP based on modification of received acoustic oscillations. Device that realises method contains serially connected unit of radio signal transmission and reception, which is equipped with at least one antenna, detector, amplifier and converter of electric signal into acoustic oscillations, at that unit of radio signal transmission and reception and converter of electric signal into acoustic oscillations are installed with the possibility to simultaneously radiate one and the same area of space with radio signal and acoustic oscillations, and also to receive radio signal from radiated area.

EFFECT: expansion of functional resources and higher probability of AEP detection.
