FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes melting, oxidation, metal finishing in furnace under basic slag with variable oxidation, metal discharge into ladle and metal deoxidation by lump silicon-bearing materials and aluminum, sweeping-out of melt by indifferent gas in ladle and slagging in it. After melt sweeping-out by indifferent gas in ladle metal is passed to plant ladle-furnace, it is defined content of iron oxides in slag at the moment of receiving in plant ladle-furnace, it is implemented blending sweeping-out and implemented batch charging of ferroalloys, including ferrosilicon, at that required consumption of ferrosilicon is defined by formula.
EFFECT: ability to calculate consumption of silicon-bearing ferroalloys subject to metal oxidation and to receive required content of silicon in finished steel, to reduce content of nonmetallics and to receive required macrostructure of uninterruptedly-casted billet.
