SUBSTANCE: method consists in pointing out the most fire hazardous peatland areas, arranging vertical wells in those areas, installing perforated pipes in the wells, filling those pipes with a smoke-forming pyrotechnic compound, marking coordinates of the wells on a forest fireproof map, determining patrol routes, performing patrol smoke observation, determining a fire border line according to the smoke above wells, and marking smoke coordinates on the forest fireproof map. The innovation is that before perforated pipes are filled, a smoke-forming pyrotechnic compound is mixed with water-repellent flammable material on the basis of its flow of 5-10% of smoke-forming pyrotechnic compound mass. Bitumen or heavy fractions of cracked oil are used as water-repellent flammable material.
EFFECT: improving the determining accuracy of underground fire borderlines in peatland areas submerged from time to time.
