FIELD: physics, measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measuring equipment and can be used in machine building for identifying (detecting) heated and unheated articles. During the movement of heated articles relative to the sensitive element of the device, formed capacitive sensitive element and two infra-red photo-sensors, between which is placed a capacitive sensitive element, there is sequential light-striking the first infra-red photo-sensor, intersection of the electric field of the capacitive sensitive element and light-striking the second infra-red photo-sensor. In this case at the first output on the device emerges a signal with the level of logical "1", carrying information about identification of the heated article, and on the second - voltage pattern with the level of logical "0". In case of getting into the zone of the sensitive element of the device a non-heated article the signal with the level of logical "1", carrying information about identification of a non-heated article, emerges only from the capacitive sensitive element, which passes on the second outlet of the device, and at the first outlet there is a voltage pattern with the logical level "0".
EFFECT: providing identification of heated and non-heated metallic and non-metallic articles without contact with them.
