FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in machine building for identification (recognition) of heated nonmetal and unheated metal and nonmetal products. When heated nonmetal products are moved relative to device sensitive element formed by capacitance sensitive element and two infrared photodetectors, between which capacitance sensitive element is installed, the following actions take place: serial light-striking of the first infrared photodetector, crossing of electric field of capacitance sensitive element and light-striking of the second infrared photodetector. At that at the first outlet of device signal is generated with level of logical "1", and voltage with level of logical "0" is available at the second outlet of device. When unheated metal or nonmetal products pass by device sensitive element, signal with level of logical "1" appears only at the second outlet of device, and voltage with level of logical "0" is available at the first outlet of device.
EFFECT: identification of heated nonmetal products and unheated metal and nonmetal products without contact with them.
