FIELD: medicine, surgical stomatology.
SUBSTANCE: splintering osteotomy of condylar process of mandible is carried out from incisure of mandible to upper third of back edge of mandible ramus. Capitellum of condylar process is retrodisplaced in such way as to increase distance between coronoid and condylar processes of mandible. Condylar process is fixed in displaced position.
EFFECT: elimination of dislocation without risk of development of masticatory muscle contracture and limitation of mouth opening.
