FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for determination of dielectric parameters of nonmetal materials, which is rather urgent in performance of land surface monitoring realised to define parameters of underlying mediums, in particular in measurement of oil layer thickness spilled on water surface. Substance: consists in alternate measurement of signal levels of incident and reflected radiations with vertical and horizontal polarisation of electromagnet wave accordingly for every selected angle of reflection from range of measurement angles with further calculation of reflection coefficient module as ratio of reflected and incident signals. At that source of incident radiation used is heat radiation of sky, and reflected radiation is received by radiometric method. Besides additionally signal level is measured, source of which is object that is thermodynamically balanced with environment, afterwards reflection coefficient module is calculated from the following ratios: , where R↑(Θ), R→(Θ) - modules of reflection coefficients for vertical and horizontal polarisation of radiation at selected angle of reflection Θ accordingly, where - values of received signal level from investigated border, sky, object in thermodynamic balance with environment for vertical (horizontal) polarisation accordingly.
EFFECT: operative measurement of underlying surfaces, especially in field conditions.
