SUBSTANCE: effect referred to is due to generation of a subscriber-configured sensor output of a mobile wireless communication device on occurrence of a specific event on the mobile wireless communication device such as wait mode/active mode commutation or mechanical actuation of a specific device component. Certain implementation versions provide for the subscriber-configured sensor output termination upon expiry of a period of time specified. Other implementation versions provide for the service provider selecting a sensor output and linking it to a specific event occurring on the device which results in generation of the mobile wireless communication device sensor output on occurrence of a specific event such as transfer of information from the service provider.
