FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for determination of indications for amblyopia treatment associated with hypermetropia in children, including light methods of treatment by means of optical coherent tomography (OCT). Using optical coherent tomograph, minimal fovea thickness is evaluated to calculate photoreceptor and pigmented epithelium layer thickness and estimate integrity of internal boundary membrane. If minimal fovea thickness exceeds 150 mcm, photoreceptor and pigmented epithelium layer are not worn, internal boundary membrane is integral, and treatment is indicated.
EFFECT: determination of indications for pleoptic amblyopia treatment associated with hypermetropia in children, elimination of complications caused by light treatment.
