FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of hard materials drying, including wood, by means of moisture removal from them. Method of wood drying includes wood installation between electrodes in vacuum chamber, application of voltage to electrodes, which initiates volume glow discharges, wood treatment with volume glow discharges and condensation of produced vapours, at that pressure is measured in vacuum chamber, as well as temperature inside wood, current and voltage oscillograms are taken from electrodes, and data obtained is used to control electric power supplied to interelectrode gaps and heat exchange on surface of electrodes, changing their temperature, therefore electrodes are made in the form of heat exchangers.
EFFECT: higher quality and reduction of time required for wood drying.
