PREDICTION METHOD FOR SEVERE COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED PNEUMONIA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2348348 C1

FIELD: medicine; pulmonology.

SUBSTANCE: clinicoinstrumental parameters are evaluated thus for prediction their absolute or graduated scored values, specifically: passive smoking rate, radiological evidence of lung infiltration, radiological evidence of lung destruction and its dimension, maximum body temperature, maximum obtained respiratory movements per minute, arterial pressure registered when community-acquired pneumonia is diagnosed or at initial stages thereof, minimum diurnal diuresis, maximum number of rod nuclear cells within leukogram, maximum number of leukocytes except for leucopenia, maximum number of thrombocytes except for thrombopenia, number thrombocytes, maximum haemoglobin, hematocrit volume at hemodilution, maximum urea value in absolute numbers. Prediction index is calculated by design formula. If prediction index is 1 and more, indispensable development of severe community-acquired pneumonia is confirmed in the given patient, while index less than 1 shows its absence.

EFFECT: higher prediction reliability.
