FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for measuring angular rate of objects and can be used for controlling moving transport vehicles by using position control and navigation systems. Method involves use of plate of piezoelectric or semi-conductor, to which there applied are interdigital transducers and reflecting structures of driver of stationary surface acoustic waves, surface acoustic wave absorbers as well as electrodes and contact bars of sensing element of potential difference. By means of electrodes and contact bars there measured is potential difference, and by that value the plate angular rate value is judged.

EFFECT: increasing sensitivity and accuracy at angular rate measurements.
