SUBSTANCE: invention concerns means of radar-tracking determination of parameters of moving objects and can be used at measuring of velocity of a shell. The method consists that on the group of continuances of temporary periods with the blanket beginning in the Doppler echo signal where the first the time site has the peak duration, and on a number of prospective groups of values of trajectories with the blanket beginning shape a number of groups of possible velocities; spot an odds between values in each group of some possible velocities and for velocity of a shell accept quantity of the first value at group of possible velocities, in which difference between values underloadly.

EFFECT: increase of measurement accuracy of velocity of a shell at the expense of decrease in errors.
