FIELD: heating, drying.
SUBSTANCE: invention deals with design of drying machinery to be utilised for drying varied bulk materials and manufacture of dried vegetables such as potatoes, girasols and others. The dryer consists of serially connected chambers equipped with devices for in-loading, discharge and gravitational flow of the material being treated and for medium delivery and removal. The innovation consists in the chambers being arranged stepwise one after another. In the butt wall of each chamber there is a rehandling window arranged for the material flow. Each chamber contains a flexible perforated tape with one end of it being rigidly attached to the chamber rear wall and the other - wound onto an inertia reeling drum to enable the deflection angle regulation. The pneumatic cylinder installed in the chamber lower part enables the drum vertical reciprocation. There is a lid fitted onto the drum that is accordingly forced to open and close the rehandling window by the drum moving upwards and downwards.
EFFECT: improved quality of the finished product; enhanced efficiency of the drying process due to deployment of reasonably suitable modes of product hydrodynamic and thermal treatment.
