FIELD: chemistry, biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology and represents method of producing L-lysine by culturing bacteria Methylophilus with aspartokinase activity intensified by transformation with aspartokinase-coding DNA introduced into the cells. Such bacterium can grow with using methanol as the basic carbon source, and is able to produce L-lysine.
EFFECT: high-efficient production of L-lysine.
