SUBSTANCE: proposed drive dog comprises a beam with ends coupled with pairs of elastic tapered circular oval-section elements. Variation of lengthwise stiffness, given the normal operating loads varying within Δ, changes from 2000 to 6000 kg/cm. Variation of lengthwise stiffness at loads exceeding normal operating loads within Δ varies from 4000 to 13000 kg/cm, where Δ is the difference between the final and initial load values in appropriate range.
