FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system operates in preset frequency range and incorporates automotive transport motion detection and control hardware mounted at the railroad crossing area. The previously mentioned hardware comprises a stationary module with a transmitter sending radio signals to the mobile module receiver aerials arranged on the vehicles. The said transmitter is mounted on the light signal. The system stationary module can emit the "cross-over inhibited" signal to mobile modules and switch the light signal over to the red. It also compares the data received from the stationary module with the data stored in the mobile module memory when the vehicle approaches the system operating range. The system cuts in sound and light signaling in the driver's cab and locks the vehicle engine to stop it in case the vehicle goes on running. Is allows the locomotive operator respond adequately and timely to potentially dangerous situation.
EFFECT: higher safety at railroad crossings.
