SUBSTANCE: proposed vertical belt conveyor has every flange (11) on the first loop belt hinged with the help of loopers and is furnished with cross arm (15) arranged on nonworking side, also hinged by aforesaid loopers (17) to the flange free end and the belt to form, between the flange and cross arm, an acute angle with its vertex facing the upward run of the second loop belt. The flange central part features rectilinear edge (12) mating curvilinear sections (13) over its edges.

EFFECT: higher reliability and longer life of conveyor elements, lower power demand and higher efficiency.
