FIELD: packing industry.
SUBSTANCE: vertical belt conveyor comprises a support frame (1), two belt contours continuously closed on drive (2, 3) and tension (4, 5) drums. The belt of the first circuit (6) is made with transverse shelves (12) fixed on it, external edges of which have curvilinear profile, which is formed from the rectilinear middle part and adjacent curvilinear edges profiled along the circumference arc. Shelves are placed with the possibility of their interaction with the surface of the second contour (7) belt. On the outer surface of the second contour belt in its middle part, with a pitch equal to the pitch of shelves arrangement on the first contour belt there are brackets (13) fixed as normally aligned to the surface of the second contour belt with L-shaped transverse profile. Each bracket is placed with a displacement relative to the shelves of the first contour with the possibility to interact with them at the side, which is opposite to direction of their joint motion. Width of the brackets is accepted as lower than the width of the rectilinear part of the shelves, and the size of protruding part of brackets is accepted as not more than 30-40 mm.
EFFECT: chances of the first belt load-carrying branch falling in case of belt breakage are eliminated.
