SUBSTANCE: method lies in processing indole with aldehyde in presence of reducer - silicon hydrate, selected from group, consisting of tri(C1-C4-alkyl)sylane, triphenylsylane, diphenylsylane and phenylmethylsylane, and Lewis acid, selected from group, consisting of salts of boron, aluminium, antimony or rare-earth metal, containing halogen or triflate anion, and pentafluorophenyl metal acids, in which metal is boron, aluminium, antimony or rare-earth metal.

EFFECT: elaboration of novel method of alkylating C-3-positions of indoles, applicable for indoles, which contain acid-sensitive substituents in N-1 position.
