FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rotor-type whirl heater is intended for use in heat engineering, namely, in devices comprising rotary heating elements to heat neutral and weakly aggressive media. The proposed heater consists of fixed cylindrical housing with inlet and outlet holes, cylindrical chamber housing rotor with blunt holes fitted on the shaft to revolve there about. The fixed cylindrical casing chamber represents a larger diameter cylindrical chamber whereon axially abut smaller diameter cylindrical chambers. The rotor represents a large-diameter disk and two smaller-diameter impellers fitted on the disk end surfaces integral with the disk. Two-channel swirler is arranged coaxially with the outlet channel opening. Note that the heater comprises additional inlet channel opening. Note also that all surfaces in contact with working medium are coated with fluoroplastic-based composition. End face seal is used as a sealing element for weakly-aggressive media. Note that the inlet channel additional opening is arranged on the housing opposite side or between the housing and motor shaft.
EFFECT: efficient rotor-type whirl heater.
