FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of manufacturing of iron-ore pellets. Iron-ore materials are pelletised with receiving of raw pellets and it is implemented its thermal processing in layer in kiln pipelined machine in technological areas of drying, heating, burning, recuperation and cooling of burnt pellets. During the process of thermal processing pellets are subject to isolation at temperature 1150-1230°C in isolation area, located between burning and recuperation zone and allowing relational area 0.6-1.0 of recuperation zone area. Cooling is implemented with gradual temperature reduction of cooling agent from 200-300°C till the temperature of open air.
EFFECT: increasing of pellets strength properties by means of mode changing of pellets thermal treatment.
