SUBSTANCE: invention refers to instrumentation and can be used in engineering industry for identification (recognition) of heated metal and non-metal and non-heated metal and non-metal products. Multi-function product identification device includes inductive sensing element made in the form of inductance coil located in circular slot of the open edge of ferrite core with central hole, in-series connected electric oscillation generator, to the chain of oscillating circuit of which an inductive sensing element is connected, the first threshold element, in-series connected the first infrared photoreceiver, pulse shaper, as well as the first logic element AND, the first inverter; at that, to the device there additionally introduced is the second infrared photoreceiver, multivibrator, detector, the second threshold element, the second inverter, the second logic element AND, the third logic element AND, the fourth logic element AND, capacitor sensing element, which are connected to each other accordingly.

EFFECT: providing identification of products without contacting them with high operating reliability in conditions when external infrared radiation sources influence it and when external objects penetrate into operating zone of its sensing element.
