COMPLICATIONS PREDICTION METHOD ASSOCIATED WITH JOINT HYPERMOBILITY SYNDROME IN TEENAGERS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2354286 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and covers complications prediction associated with joint hypermobility syndrome in teenagers. Risk factors are determined from life anamnesis and clinical indicators. Range of joint motions is additionally evaluated, including: passive extension of left little finger more than 90°, forward inclination of body with palms touching the floor, overextension in right knee joint more than 10°, overextension in right elbow joint more than 10°. There are measured intensity of physical activity, sex of the patient, and age of mother at the birth of the patient. Used parametres are graded and valued. Prediction factors F1 and F2 are evaluated. If F1 is less than F2, low risk of hypermobility syndrome complications is predicted, while F1 exceeding F2 shows high risk.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of complications prediction associated with joint hypermobility syndrome in teenagers.
