FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical industry. A horizontal periodic adsorber comprises a cylindrical body 1 with spherical left 18 and right 19 covers. The top of said case 1 accommodates charging holes 4 with safety membranes, a union nipple 8 for desorption vapour discharge and a union nipple 7 for a safety valve. The left cover 18 contains a union nipple 2 with a distributing network 3 for supplying vapour mixture. Bars 15 with bearing supports 14 bear a demountable grating 16, a network layer 6 and an adsorbent layer 9. The loads 5 are mounted on the top grating 6. Used adsorbent 9 is discharged through unloading gates 10. The bottom of the case 1 houses an inspection window 12 with a union nipple 13 for condensate discharge and water delivery. A bubbler flask 17 is mounted along the full length of the case 1 comprising a perforated cylindrical pipe. Said adsorbent 9 is shaped as hollow spheres with spiral groove on the spherical surface; as cylindrical rings with spiral groove on the lateral surface; or as toroid rings.
EFFECT: higher gas flow purification efficiency from the end component due to higher contact area of adsorbent and the end component.
