FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing yttrium oxide nanopowders production includes chemical deposition of yttrium carbonate from aqueous solution of yttrium salt with ammonium bicarbonate, deposit separation from the mother solution, washing, drying at temperature 20-100°C in the air medium and baking on air at temperature 700-1300°C. Chemical deposition of yttrium carbonate is ensured with hydrogen peroxide as the second precipitant at male ratio of ammonium bicarbonate to hydrogen peroxide 1:(1.5-4). The invention allows producing disagglomerated yttrium oxide powders of specific surface area within 24 to 300 m2/g and average particle size less than 10 nm to 50 nm.

EFFECT: improved method of yttrium oxide nanopowders production.
