FIELD: medicine; radiodiagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: technique consists in studied organs imaging by synchronisation of scanning process and respiration phases of patient. Scanning process synchronisation with breathing phases is carried out directly by patient himself. The patient, spontaneously, holds breathing (in inspiration or expiration) and switch scanning on and off, using switch button. Scanning process is divided in several steps, corresponding to certain respiration phase. Total length of breath-holding is defined by necessary time for full scanning algorithm execution, set in programme.
EFFECT: technique allows MRI procedure conduction during breath-holding, and reduces MR-image distortions due to patient involuntary movement.
