FIELD: engineering industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to engineering industry and may be used at rotation body grinding. Method includes rough grinding and smooth grinding. The part is installed in the center performed with the possibility of free movement towards cross-feed motion. The part is rotated and ground by disks from both sides simultaneously. Before treatment the part is installed in relation to disk centre line at the distance with meeting a condition: B=2π/N1, where N1 - number of basic harmonic component of form inaccuracy, B - angle between part longitudinal axis and longitudinal axes of grinding disks. During rough grinding after correction of basic inaccuracy the part is vertically moved with meeting a condition for the remaining harmonic component of inaccuracy: B=2π/N2, where N2 - number of remaining harmonic inaccuracy. The disks are used with different sizes of grain that form geometric pattern on the disk surface. Grinding is performed with provision of constant contact between part and large-grain areas of both disks, or with provision of contact with break between large-grain area of one disk and part and constant contact between part and large-grain area of the other disk or with provision of contact with break between part and large-grain area of both disks.
EFFECT: quality and process efficiency is increased, disk lifetime is increased and process dynamic characteristics are improved.
