FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to method of gaseous nitrogen separation and carbonic molecular sieve used in the said method. For the meeting of this problem in the PSA-method the carbonic molecular sieve satisfying the following functional connections (I) and (ll) is used: InC≤0.325+5.14×In{(0.64+0.098)×Q/(P+0.098)} (I), InU≤2.124-0.135×InC (II), where C is oxygen content in separated gaseous nitrogen in pro mille; Q is the volume of the gaseous nitrogen obtained during one minute from the effective volume unit of one adsorption column; P is the adsorption pressure (mPa); and U is the ratio of the feed gas and obtained gaseous nitrogen volumes.
EFFECT: development of the industrially effective adsorption process at the alternative pressure (PSA) demanding small quantities of the carbonic molecular sieve and feed gas.
