METHOD OF PROTECTING FERROMAGNETIC TUBES OF WATER HEATERS, BOILERS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS AGAINST PRIMARY SCALE AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F28G7/00

Abstract RU 2355973 C2

FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used to protect heat exchanging ferromagnetic surfaces contacting with water, for example, tubular water heater shell, tubes of boilers and heat exchangers purposed differently against primary scale and descale them. The aim of the invention consists in working out a simple and effective method of protecting heat exchanging surfaces of heat-and-power devices (water heaters, boilers, heat exchangers etc.) against primary scale and descaling them which is implemented by simple electrical devices. The above aim is achieved by the fact that the water being heated is affected by self- magnetic fields of the above ferromagnetic tubes directly in the heating zone and simultaneously with heating. For this purpose the tubes being protected are included into a closed magnetic circuit. The magnetic field influencing the tubes and water can be of constant or unipolar or pulsating or alternating strength. A device for the method implementation comprises ferromagnetic extenders connecting the above external magnetic field generators and the tubes being protected so that they form a closed magnetic circuit with the above elements.

EFFECT: working out a simple and effective method of protecting heat exchanging surfaces of heat-and-power devices (water heaters, boilers, heat exchangers etc) against primary scale and descaling them which is implemented by simple electrical devices.
