FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spark plugs, namely to an improved spark plug which can significantly improve the efficiency of ignition spark spreading and the efficiency of the fuel combustion when used in an internal combustion engine. The spark plug comprises axial centre electrode (2) for the spark discharge and side earthed electrode (4) set opposite axial centre electrode (2) in respect to a spark gap, with round part (6) in the cross-section having central round hole (5) which is made at the discharge end of the side rounded electrode. Spark plug (1) comprises many spiral riffles (7) projecting from the inner side of the round part in central round hole (5) direction so that to form a turbulent flow in the gas mixture when the gas compressed during the pressure stroke is supplied to the spark gap through central round hole (5).
EFFECT: improving efficiency of spark spreading due to ensuring better mixing in the spark gap between the electrodes, providing for the turbulent flow generation function and increasing the ignition force.
