FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to receiving of metallic fibers and can be used for application in condensers, filter mediums, catalyst carriers. Mixture of at least fibers metal and matrix metal is molten, cooled with formation of volume matrix, consisting of, at least fibrous phase and matrix phase, and it is removed at least essential part of matrix phase from fibrous phase. Fibrous phase is in the form of treelike manifold dendrites or dendrite, allowing surface area at least 2.0 m2/g, and also contains oxygen in amount of 1.5 wt % or less. Morphology, size and aspect ratio of dendrites in fibrous phase are changed by means of ratio control of metals content in melt, melting rate, solidification rate, crystallisation geometry, melting method, crystallisation method, molten-pool volume, addition of the other alloying element. Fibers metal can corresponds niobium or tantalum/or alloys of these metals, matrix metal - copper and copper alloy.
EFFECT: invention provides cost-justifiable receiving of fine-dispersed product with high surface area.
