FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonferrous metallurgy, particularly to receiving of metallic magnesium by electrolysis of molten salts in electrolytic cells. Heat removal is implemented by air through the heat exchanger, installed into collapsible cell and by means of fume extraction from collapsible cell of electrolytic cell through the collector of sanitary pumping out. Air is passed through the heat exchanger in amount, providing keeping of differential temperature of air and electrolyte in collapsible cell, equal to 200-350°C. And air heated in heat exchanger is mixed with gases, escaping from the collapsible cell, in correlation (1-2): 1 and is removed from electrolytic cell.
EFFECT: increasing of heat removal rate and its amount by means of thermal conductivity, electrolytic cell rate of work (out by current) and reduce electricity consumption.
