FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of measurements of object angular speeds and may be used to control movable transport means with application of orientation and navigation systems. In method based on resonance diffraction, on plate of piezoelectric cell with reflecting structures, primary bundle of ultrasonic waves is formed, and using extended source of light flux located beyond the borders of piezoelectric plate, light flux is introduced into plate under Bragg angle relative to vertical line to plate surface and orthogonally to wave front of secondary ultrasonic waves. Diffracted light flux coming out of plate is transformed into image point and arrives to inlet of light flux receiver, by amplitude of periodically alternating electric voltage at the outlet of which they decide on value of angular speed of rotation of plate and object, on which it is fixed.
EFFECT: improved sensitivity and accuracy in measurements of angular speed by piezoelectric devices.
