ADJUSTABLE CAPACITOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H01G5/14 H01G5/12

Abstract RU 2357314 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and particularly to the development of adjustable capacitors (C). According to the invention C contains a body, unit of positive and negative plates, and mechanism for changing the volume. The unit of plates is made in the form of a cube, made from glass in which there are vertical square shaped channels equal in area, turned on their largest lateral sides to each other, placed parallel to each other at a small distance between them. Vertical square shaped channels parallel to each other are installed perpendicularly with the largest lateral sides at the lower part of the plate unit made together with two cylindrical tanks (CT). The internal cavity of one CT is connected with the internal cavity of even vertical square shaped channels, and the internal cavity of the second CT in connected with the internal cavities of odd vertical square shaped channels. Inside each CT is inserted one electrode, which is connected by conductors with terminals on the cover of the body. On the external surface of each CT is fixed a heater-cooler, consisting of two semicircular plates, placed one in the other and joined together. One plate is from metal, and the other from a semiconductor. Both heater-coolers are connected between each other sequentially and are attached to the lateral terminals of the body. From the internal bands of the vertical square shaped channels and CT air is pumped out, and the internal cavity of the CT is filled with mercury. The system for changing the volume C includes a direct current source, switch, and adjustable resistor, mode switch "heater-cooler" and is connected to the lateral terminals of the case.

EFFECT: compactness, simplicity and higher accuracy for regulating the volume C.
