FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method can be applied in neurotic disorder psychotherapy, such as anxiety and depression states, adaptation disorders, neuroses etc. Gelototherapy is performed in four stages daily, the course comprising at least 9-10 sessions. First stage involves breath exercises in the form of reflex laugh or contrary breath. Second stage involves gelatomeditation with forced smiling. Third stage involves dynamic physical exercise and exercise aimed at intelligence and creativity development. Fourth stage involves telling and listening to funny stories and jokes to form and consolidate stable therapeutic plateau. Time devoted to each next stage is gradually increased.
EFFECT: stable replacement of negative behavior patterns causing emotional disorder by positive and optimistic patterns due to realisation by patients of temporary nature of cneurotic state they were in, and exiting it.
