FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anisotropic electrical steel sheet used as material of iron cores of transformers. Electrical steel sheet includes a base steel sheet, a glass coating formed on the base steel sheet, and a tension-imparting insulating coating formed on the glass coating. Main steel sheet has chemical composition in wt %: C: 0.010 or less, Si: 3.00–4.00, Mn: 0.01–0.50, N: 0.010 or less, sol. Al: 0.020 or less, P: 0.030 or less, S: 0.010 or less, Sn: 0–0.50, Cu: 0–0.50, Cr: 0–0.50, Se: 0–0.020, Sb: 0–0.500, Mo: 0–0.10, the rest is Fe and impurities. On the front surface of the main steel sheet there are multiple linear deformations, extending continuously or intermittently in direction intersecting with direction of rolling, note here that intervals p in rolling direction of multiple adjacent linear deformations make 3.0–9.0 mm while linear deformations width make 10–250 mcm. In the X-ray topographic spectrum in range of 1.50 mm in the rolling direction, including the linear deformation at the center, which is obtained from the X-ray topographic image of the front surface, full width at half the maximum of the peak of the X-ray topographic spectrum, which includes the maximum value of spectral intensity, is 0.02 mm or more and 0.10 mm or less.

EFFECT: sheet has improved characteristics of magnetic losses and noise characteristics.
