SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mobile communication systems. Proposed is a device and method of selecting a network interface in a mobile terminal, supporting multiple wireless access set up. When a request is received from an application layer for connection with a specific network interface, the interface manager establishes correspondence between the application layer and the related network interface. If handover is detected through receiving current information, the handover manager sends information to the virtual interface, indicating changes on the new network interface. The virtual interface sends an internet protocol packet (IP-packet), received from the application layer, to the external medium through the network interface, corresponding to the application layer in accordance with results for handover permission, given by the handover manager.
EFFECT: more efficient delivery of wireless resources.
