FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: inertia-slot method of seed separation consists in supply of seed mixture, distributing, accelerating, seed orientating with long axis normally to edge of separating slot and in separating seeds through said slot. The separating slot is of circular shape formed with a gap between rotating truncated cones, which perform distribution and acceleration of seeds by centrifugal forces. One of the cones is made with a flat part in a receiving compartment and with guiding surface in form of chutes before the separating slot for seed orientation.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of seed cleaning, and increased efficiency.
