FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy field, particularly to furnace unit for melting of metallic or metal-bearing initial raw materials. Furnace unit contains bottom part and top part implemented with ability of drawdown on bottom part. Top part of tank contains wall, lengthening wall of the bottom part of tank. Furthermore, unit contains electrode cover with electrode assembly for its putting on with ability of rotation for bottom part of tank for implementation of melting process, essentially, by means of secondary energy, instead of top part of withdrawn from the bottom part of tank.
EFFECT: invention usage provides heat passage to scrap in furnace unit with high coefficient of efficiency.
