FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed model for assessing strength of material in combined stress state is in form of a circular plate, on the opposite sides of which there are grooves, respectively located diametrically and normal to each other. Between surfaces of the grooves, serving as mechanical stress concentrators, there is a bridge of material of the model, located in the central area of the plate. The plate rests on a base. The object is tested using test force, applied perpendicular to its central area (3) on the loading side (2).
EFFECT: simplification of the process of testing the object with mechanical stress concentrators in combined stress state and provision for the required accuracy of assessing strength of the material of the structure at the same time.
