FIELD: physics; image processing.
SUBSTANCE: technical outcome is achieved due to that, the image area of the display for forming colour images and text, recognisable in incident light, consists of several pixels (1), controlled using an electronic method and arranged in form of raster. Each pixel (1) contains at least three colour levels (3, 3', 3"), laterally spaced from each other or one behind the other, with the following colours: red, green, dark blue or sky blue, purple, yellow, and formed by flat transparent vessels, the internal volumes of which are linked through channels with dye containers, contents of which, through electronic control, can be moved such that the transparent fluid medium moves from the dye containers to the colour levels or from the colour levels to the dye containers. For optical distinction of separate parts of the image, behind the colour levels (3) of pixels (1), there are light sources (6) attached to the pixel, made with possibility of separate electronic control. Behind the colour levels (3, 3', 3") there is a white or silver reflecting layer (5), which is partially or temporarily transparent.
EFFECT: possibility of optically distinguishing and/or changing colour of parts of an image formed by pixels, in incident light, particularly daylight.
