FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of high-security atomic power stations, particularly to systems for passive heat dissipation from a nuclear reactor and can be used in these systems in cases when, during operation of the nuclear reactor, passive heat dissipation heat exchangers should be in heated state. The device for air-cooling a system for passive heat dissipation from a nuclear reactor contains vertical air pipes 1, radially mounted on a protective cylindrical cover 2, and heat exchangers 3, fitted inside the air pipes 1, for cooling the nuclear reactor, with top 9 and bottom 10 gates, which have rotary baffles 11 and 12. The device is provided with apparatus for heat insulating heat exchangers 3, which are a unit for providing heat insulating material 17, containing a drum 19, fitted on the coil of a torsion spring 18, where one end 20 of the heat insulating material 17 is fixed on the drum, and a unit for stretching the heat insulating material 17, containing an electric winch 21 with a rope 23, to which, through a cleat 39 of a locking mechanism, is tied the other end 24 of the heat insulating material 17. The units for providing and stretching heat insulating material 17 are attached to the outside of the air pipe 1 at opposite walls and are joined by a guide 25 for holding the heat insulating material 17, fitted in the air pipe between the top gate 9 and heat exchanger 3.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for maximum reduction of heat lost through air pipes of the system for passive heat dissipation in waiting mode, increases efficiency of the atomic power station and preserves the original environment around the atomic power station.
