FIELD: medicine; histology.

SUBSTANCE: histological sample while being prepared for histological research is arranged between plates and fixed in a fixing bath. Before plates are dipped in the fixing bath, they are fastened together. The histological sample is arranged in grooves formed in one of plates. Their depth and width are equal to diametre of a biopsy needle, and their length relates to groove length of the biopsy needle. Method provides preparation of the histological sample of regular cylindrical shape with its length maintained without stretching.

EFFECT: improved convenience of arrangement of the fragmented histological samples between two plates.
