FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to rolling-mill production. Method includes generation of setting for rotation speed of working rolls electric drives, comparison of torques for upper and lower rolls, production of torque mismatch, generation of correction for limited change of rollers rotation speed, if permissible difference of torques is exceeded. A peculiar feature of the method is that in order to determine correction for balancing of torques, only integral components of rollers speed are used, and only speeds of electric drive rotation are corrected alternately in the most torque-loaded roller (upper or lower). Besides corrections are always aimed at reduction of electric drive torque in the most loaded roller.

EFFECT: higher stability of rolling process at high speed, achievement of high efficiency of rolling mill and lower rejection of cold rolled mill products by surface defects.
