FIELD: control of drive motors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over drive motors of heavy plate rolling mill stand with individual electric drive of rolls. In the idling mode, before the strip is gripped by the working rolls, the rotation speeds of the lower and upper working rolls are set and measured, and they are maintained according to the specified values, working roll speed asymmetry is set and calculated; working rolls are accelerated to filling speeds. After strip gripping by working rolls in mode of strip head bending formation with preset acceleration working rolls are accelerated to strip rolling speed. Setting of asymmetry of speeds of working rolls is reduced by linear law. When working roll speeds are reached, strip rolling speeds are maintained at preset level. When working roll speed asymmetry setting reaches zero, a short pause is set. During the short-term pause, the bending of the head section of the strip is completed and the gain of the proportional channel of the load division controller (LDC) is increased, proportional and integral channels of the LDC are separated in time; the proportional channel with increased amplification factor is switched on. When the difference of moments of the drive motors decreases to 10% of the design value, the design-specified value of the gain of the proportional channel is restored and at the same time the integral channel of the LDC is switched on.
EFFECT: reduced time for matching loads of drive motors of upper and lower rolls of horizontal stand in steady mode after rolling of front end of sheet at heavy plate rolling mills.
