SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to a method of cutting a partition such as a partition placed in the inner cavity of a packing box. The cardboard partition is a square sheet with slots cut from one edge in the direction of the opposite edge, at which cuts open at that side are made opposite to the slots. The running cardboard sheet is moved from the roll continuously by the rotation of a roll matrix with knives, which is pressed against the countershaft, and the running cardboard sheet is cut by the knives into rectangular sheets at the slot and cut edges. The knives are located transversal to the running cardboard sheet feed direction so that shearings in the form of longitudinal bands would be made at the plate edges.

EFFECT: making of partition, during manufacture of which cut portions are separated to shearings freely thanks to cuts located in edge zones of cardboard sheet.
