FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: functional tests are done with increasing physical load. Parametres of initial physical load, rate of increase and maximum physical load are determined from data of continuously monitored heart rate. Maximum power is also measured, as well as the time at which it is achieved and the time at which maximum heart rate is attained. Adaptation index is calculated using a special formula.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement of adaptation capacity of a person to physical load.
