FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and may be used for automatic evaluation of a vehicle braking system. The method consists in definition of initial conditions of overload occurrence at the braking commencement moment by way of comparing the current vehicle weight with the preset values, comparison of the current force of the brake pedal pressing with the preset value. Estimate of operability of the vehicle braking system is performed without limitation of direction and value of the roadway slope by way of entering reference values of overload for n-values of roadway slope and two directions of slope within the vehicle motion plane. Then one compares the current overload value obtained under the specific initial conditions of overload occurrence with the reference value. One performs indication in case the current overload level exceeds the reference one. The device contains an electrocontact sensor, a slope sensor, a calculator, n-first, n-second information processing units, an OR element, an overload direction indicator, an overload value indicator, an overload level excess indicator. The first and the second group of outlets of the slope sensor are connected to the fifth outputs of the n-first, n-second signal processing units accordingly. The first, second, third and fourth inputs of the signal processing unit are connected to the second output of the calculator, the output of the vehicle motion speed sensor output, the weight sensor and the sensor of the force onto the brake pedal accordingly. The outputs of the n-first, n-second signal processing units are connected to the overload level excess indicator via the OR element. Additionally inserted into the signal processing unit are four keys. The first inputs of the keys inserted are accordingly the first, second, third and fourth inputs of the signal processing unit. The fifth input of the signal processing unit is the second inputs of the keys inserted whose outputs are connected to the second inputs of the n-fourth, first inputs of n-first, n-second and n-third threshold devices accordingly.
EFFECT: extension of operational capacities of the device due to automatic estimate of the state of the braking system under the conditions of roadway slope presence.
