FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of automated systems for electric equipment inventory, namely to devices and methods for detection, identification, definition of geographic location and spatial orientation of power transmission lines support installed near motor roads. In system including installation of the following components on vehicle - two laser range finders, electronic sensor of vehicle orientation, receiver of satellite navigation systems signals and at least one digital camera, according to invention range finders are installed in vertical plane under a certain angle to each other, and microphone, digital keyboard and joystick are installed in cabin with connection of all devices to computer. In identification of power transmission line supports, value of angle and direction of incline is calculated relative to horizontal of straight line passed through centers of supports, which are identified by lower and upper laser range finder, and as geographical coordinates of supports, coordinates of center of its multiple points that correspond to field of lower range finder view are recorded in data base. Dispatcher numbers of supports are input with the help of digital keyboard, directly after passing by the support, or are recorded in the form of audio record started and stopped by joystick button. Joystick with button also serves for reduction of number of false identifications of power transmission line supports by fixation of moments of supports nearing and completion of their passage by personnel available in the vehicle; if identification of supports is carried out not in the time of motion but in the mode of postprocessing, joystick is additionally used to start up digital camera.

EFFECT: definition of geographical coordinates, angle of inclination and dispatcher number of power transmission line support by simplest and cheapest method.
